Floor sawing and controlled demolition of floor and lift shaft in Birmingham
Core ECT were commissioned by Wates Construction to break up and remove the existing concrete screed floor as part of the renovation of the old Fish and Meat Market in Birmingham for new drainage and wash down area. The process involved cutting the floor with an electric diamond floor saw and breaking up the concrete with a Brook robotic demolition machine. In addition, we removed an old lift shaft using controlled demolition of the Brokk robot. Overall, the project in Birmingham ran for 6 months.
